Maori Party almost guaranteed a seat in Parliament

3 NEWS: The Maori Party appears to be guaranteed a place in the next Parliament, according to a poll out overnight.

The Maori Television poll in the Tamaki Makaurau electorate shows huge support for the party's co-leader Pita Sharples.

Dr Sharples had 80 percent of those polled backing him to represent them for another three years.
